Printables

The one page you keep on the counter

Every checklist here is printed from the guide it belongs to, not stored as a separate file. Tick the boxes as you go, save it as a PDF, and it can't quietly fall out of date the way a hand-made document does.

iPhone Screen Time: the one-page checklist

The ten Screen Time settings that actually matter, the four Apple buries, and the one code that makes the rest stick.

Tick these off with the phone in front of you. The passcode is the first box for a reason.

Android supervision: the one-page checklist

Google Family Link set up properly, what Samsung adds on top, and the sideloading, Safe Mode and developer-options gaps to close.

Work top to bottom with the phone in hand. Steps 8 and 10 are the two most often skipped.

Before any download: the five questions

One page, one question per app, worth reading before you say yes to anything.

These aren't a checklist of bans. They're the conversation that makes a yes safe — and they work for an app that isn't on this list too.

Dinner Table Deck: five prompts to print and cut

Five cards for the kitchen table, with what to listen for written on the back.

Print, cut along the lines, and put one face-up on the table. Nobody has to announce it as an exercise.

How the printing works

No account, no download, no email required to print

Open a sheet and press Print — or your browser's own print shortcut. The print stylesheet strips the menus, the navigation and the asks, and leaves the steps, the tick boxes and the source line. Save as PDF from the print dialog if you'd rather keep it on your phone.

Every guide on this site is free and stays free. The printable is the one thing we ask an email for — and the printable is generated from the page itself, so it never drifts out of date separately.

Settings vs street smarts

Controls set the boundary. Judgement keeps them safe when you're not looking.

A printed checklist sets the boundary in about an evening. Judgement is the slower part, and it's built by rehearsal — so NetWise Kids puts your child in a realistic group chat, DM or trade request and lets them practise saying no before the real one arrives.
